Best of British Pleated Hem Shirt Dress

I got a bargain with this dress as it was in the sale. It looks good and fits well but having worn it, I was disappointed with the material which crushed easily; if I had paid the full price I would have returned it. This is not the quality one would expect from the Best of British.

Recieved my new dress at a bargain price really love it would highly recommend perfect fit.

Loved this dress but unfortunately I had to take it back very short for a twiggy

Love this dress, the fabric drapes beautifully. However, after wearing just twice the hem at the back is working loose. I think this is due to the length of the dress on me and how it is affected when I sit down. I am 5'2" and the dress is just about on the knee. If M&S still had them I would ask for an exchange. I was fortunate enough to buy this in the sale but at £159 I would be very disappointed at having to re-hem it already!

Very comfy and easy to wear anywhere I bought this in the sale so the price was right for me!

This dress is really nice I can see me wearing it with flats or heals for the office or a nice girls lunch - very nice material and not a crease in it when I picked it up for the store! I bought it in the sale so I think I got good value for money not sure I would have paid the full price but it's a move in the right direction as to the quality M&S used to be known for!!

Unfortunately I returned - it was very old fashioned and unflattering - I am a size 14 and usually buy petite range but this made me look like a frumpy school mistress. It's also not grey - more like airforce blue. It's not a best of british design.

Easy to wear dress - more of an airforce blue than grey. Smart enough for work and a lovely silky feel to it.

Lovely fabric, hangs well. I'm a 16 and it's a very flattering fit. Smart casual with chunky sandals or dress it up with some nice block heels.

An absolute classic. Understated but perfectly tailored. The fit is accurate, I sized from your sizing guide. I am only 5'1" tall but even though the dress is longer on me than intended, it looks lovely. The gunmetal grey is also classy and understated, the attention to detail and the simple style says it all.
