Button Through Denim Pencil Skirt

This skirt was reduced to £11 and I still swithered because of adverse reviews regarding sizing. Maybe I'm odd, but it fits me perfectly. Admittedly it's difficult to walk in if buttoned right to the hem, but a couple of buttons undone and no problem. The only thing I find with all of Marks denim is that the buttons are very difficult to fasten, but I usually slightly snip the buttonhole once I know I'm keeping it. I bought it in cream and it's perfect with the cream chunky sweater I also bought.

I ordered this skirt in a 10, usually reliant on a good M&S fit being relief upon to be fairly standard. However, when I received the skirt and tried it on, it was not just tight- it was tiny, width-wise. Had I worn a size 6, I would have had the same effect. So, lovely design in nice longer length, but sizing and cut have gone AWOL!

The skirt was a good fit but it wasn't quite what I had in mind - the style lacked a bit of flair. Well made and good quality.

Just because the (mostly ugly) 'faded' denim look is all over, is all the more reason M&S should be classy enough to know when NOT to use it! This pencil skirt, which I can well imagine many customers would like to store away as a long-time wardrobe staple, just misses the mark. Ok, the skirt definitely has sizing issues but with my trusty sewing machine I could and would have rectified that. The faded look is another matter. My usual 14, tried on in the store, wouldn't close across my tummy, but the faded look wasn't too noticable so I ordered a 16 online. It came quite a bit paler and the faded bands just made the skirt look old, worn and cheap, like it came from our cheapest High St store. In my opinion, a classic case of M&S getting it wrong. Such a pity as the fabric and buttons are good quality.

I search every year for a good denim skirt. My search continues! I can be between sizes in skirts so I ordered this in a 10 and 12. The 10 was skin tight and the 12 seemed huge - when I measure the hips there was a 3" difference? I loved the style, button thru' and tapered hemline and good length (I am 5'6") but the denim was not as dark or rich as the online image. Sadly due to the fir I had to return

Pity about the fit. Had to get a size larger and even this was too clingy.

This was a lovely skirt. I loved the denim fabric and the colour and it was a good pencil fit. The only problem for me is that my waist is not as slim as it was and I found it a little tight when I tried to sit down in it and therefore uncomfortable. This in no way detracts from the skirt , more to do with my shape so I had to return it.

This skirt was of a good quality and nice colour but too tight for my upper-range-size 16 thighs. Similarly to another reviewer, the shorter button-through skirt fitted me much better.
