Packable Trilby

Overall, an excellent hat. However it would be helpful if the description said that the band is navy, not black, as it appears in the photographs.

Great hat but unfortunately I had to return it as it was too big ! A lovely hat for the money.

A very nice and comfortable Panama that replaces the one I used to wear some 50 years ago (I suspect it was purloined or donated to a girlfriend at the the time). I bought a hat (a very cheap Chinese knock off, oversized fedora) around Christmas time to amuse a few friends with but, after wearing it a couple of times and gone home with a warm head and ears, I decided to buy a couple of "real" hats for Winter / Spring and Summer / Autumn. The Panama is, obviously, the Summer / Autumn addition whilst I also got a very nice Fedora (correctly sized, warm, comfortable and capable of surviving a drop of rain) for the cooler months of the year - the review for that hat will be pointed to this review as, to my mind they're connected. I'm delighted with both hats which are very well made, both are light enough to make me forget that I'm wearing them and they look good too (unlike the joke hat that looked a touch amateurish, slapdash finish, can see the glue holding the hat-band (a silvered plastic chain) in place etc). At the price, taking advantage of the sale, I reckon that I got 2 bargains, I've got a warm head and ears in the colder months and a light, airy sun covering in the warmer ones, at almost 70 I also think that they'll both outlast me but, if I turn my toes up whilst out and about, from the neck up it will be with a certain element of style.

With packable in the title of this hat we are hoping this will do what it says when we pack it to go on our cruise later this month.
