Lace Cold Shoulder Bardot Top

I loved the unusual design of this - great to have a top that's different in shape and style from the usual replicas of what is available in every other High St store. It looks more expensive than it is, the lace on the hem is particularly lovely and good quality. I liked the black and cream colourway, the cream lines on the pleated neckline and hem add a stylish look that raises this above the average. Also liked the cream neck ribbons, its useful that these can easily be removed (they button on) if you fancy a slightly different look. Unfortunately the design wasn't flattering on my curvier size and shape, but I am sure it would look stunning on smaller to medium sizes and would be suited to wear to a wedding or party.

ORDERED TWO SIZES AS I AM ALWAYS "IN BETWEEN". Went for the 18. The top fit well, looks lovely in the flesh. Great for the use of a bra!! Very fetching and bang on trend for the cold shoulder look. I can wear this for a nice lunch out or a casual evening. I love it. Very feminine and well made. Another hit for me!!!

I bought this top for my holiday and to be honest I had all intentions of cutting off the cream neck tie/scarf that appears on the website but I didn't need to as the ties are detachable and are fastened on with buttons at the back - excellent so saved me a job as I thought I would have to cut them off in some way ( it doesn't mention this anywhere on description- m & s take note as this may put people off) Fits lovely and the frill made of small pleats with a cream band sets it off beautifully I have teamed it up with a cream maxi pleated skirt (not from m & s) and the cream of the skirt shows through the lace panel around the bottom - even my husband commented on how nice it looked I think it would look equally as good with cream/black trousers or skirt A little overpriced for a top but I suppose it is really an evening top and has got lots of detail so as I normally pay a lot more for my clothes I think pricing is average It would be lovely in other colours I was beginning to give up on autograph over the winter as I bought some lovely things last summer and then the sizing seemed to change - I mentioned it at customer services and they said the same - so hopefully more New things to come

The basic Bardot style is pretty. It is a generous fit so I downsized. I really don't like the addition of the lace border and the white tie, it's just style overload. I disguised the trims and it looked so much nicer. It's a very expensive top so it's a no from me. I would have been happy to pay half the price for the top, minus fussy unnecessary additions.
