Striped Tie Detail Shift Midi Dress

Lovely dress, excellent quality and price. Unfortunately it did not look as good on a 5' 4" size 16 as it did on the skinny 5' 9" model. So disappointed it was just what I had in mind. Had to return. Would highly recommend to tall skinny customers.

This was a beautifully designed dress that flattered at the waist and was long enough to look elegant and sophisticated without swamping my 5' 2" frame. With heels it looked truly fabulous and the weight of the fabric meant it swung as you walked. The flaw? It creases like a dishrag as soon as you sit down in it. A great dress for promenading, strolls in the park, giving business presentations or shopping. Whatever you do, don't sit down!

Looked good on line, size 10 was too big on shoulders, but fitted elsewhere. Material was OK although a bit heavy. Returned.

Needed a new dress for my best friends 50th birthday. Wanted something special but comfortable also. This is the perfect dress. Felt like a million dollars at the party and will now use it for our trip to ASCOT

Very striking , Great fit. Colour blocking with red shoes and bag. Good enough to wear to a wedding Or just with flat sandles for a nice summer day or lunch out . Wish this style had more colour options. Size 16 and flattering for my figure. Tied dress at front looks slimming. Love it .

A well-fitted dress, and although not stated in the details contains internal pockets (can now be seen in an image where model has her hand in one). Material is mid-weight but feels heavier due to the amount of fabric in the skirt. It's a slightly difficult length for someone who is only 5'2", not quite reaching the ankle, so definitely needs heels. However, the placement of the stripes is appalling and even the better ones are still not right... the different stripes do not match at the side seams and often the triple stripe on the bodice at both the front and back is not aligned with that on the skirt, two did and two did not - very poor craftsmanship. This failing is in part due to the uneven width of the varying patterns (cream and triple stripe are same width, black stripe is wider) but should have been taken into account when cutting & sewing the various parts together. I can live with having the black and cream alternating between the bodice and skirt but very hard to overlook the misaligned triple stripes, which gives the dress a slightly odd look overall. In addition, the ties on the skirt do not face the same way - that's to say that the tie on one side of the waist has the plain black & cream stripe facing up, but the tie on the other side has the cream and triple stripe facing up. All this adds to the someone disconnected feel to the appearance of the dress. After spending a great deal of time in 2 different stores searching through those in my size(s), and attracting attention wondering what this strange lady is up to (?!!), I have managed to find a couple that are more or less OK, with just a couple of misaligned triple stripes and one at an angle on the back of the bodice though partly able to conceal with the ties, these however are still facing the opposite way up from one another. Having said all this, I still love the dress overall but am not yet sure I can reconcile myself with the misalignments which makes it expensive at £65 for the issues it has. I said I would recommend to a friend as the style is good but only with the above caveats on stripe placement

Love this dress! Quality of material very good length mid calf ideal for 50 year old 5feet 9 lady ! Cannot wait to wear it

Really disappointed with this dress. The pattern didn't match up at the seams which I felt was very noticeable at the sides on the skirt. Material was heavy/bulky. Certainly not worth the money, in fact I didn't feel it was worth of what it cost. I shall be returning this item for certain.

I ordered this dress for work and may well keep it for my daughters graduation. The quality is so good, better than I expected. It looks much better on than it does in the picture without a model!

This fitted well, the length was perfect and I liked the feel of the material but the flare at the hem was far too much and did not suit me at all. This item was new and had no reviews when I ordered it.

Not as described lovely material but more sundress

Beautiful dress. At last a dress with vertical stripes ! Very flattering to the larger woman. Can be dressed up with tailored jacket or worn alone with flats for casual look.

The fabric and fit for this dress was perfect....lovely quality material and fitted beautifully, so I have actually rated it quite high....but....... I was very disappointed with how the fabric had been cut and the dress made up. The dress has vertical stripes and nowhere did the stripes match up with seams, and the skirt had been cut so badly that the stripe was not vertical and was badly misaligned at the waist making it look very odd on. Even allowing for the style of the dress meaning that the fabric would obviously not always match , this was still very poorly cut, especially in the skirt. Im afraid it had to go back ...such a shame. If you are lucky and get one cut properly, you will love it!

Unfortunately only one picture online, no rear view nor the usual video showing the item being worn. The picture very misleading as dress has wide shoulder straps and low back with very large wide ties to make a bow!
