Tiered Taffeta Swing Midi Dress

This really is a pretty dress without being over the top and having those great sleeves that M&S think we like! The style of the dress means that I needed to go down a size. If you are between sizes I would still go down a size and try various dresses until you get your true fit. Its worth it as this dress can be worn winter to spring as it is unlined. Normally I would prefer lined dresses but the Taffeta does give it some structure - will still wear my own under garment though. The colour is blue with a hint of black - very pretty. Value for money - between my first and second try I got it in the sale - very happy. More of this style please.

I took advantage of 20% off with Sparks. Plus points - nice colour inky blue- light material so I think it will be good for squashing up in luggage and rinsing through - loose design but it doesn’t make you look like a sack of potatoes. Minus points - the fabric. It felt cheap. Doubt it will be long lasting. Dress was shorter than I thought it would be and I’m only 5’ 3”. I am usually a 12 - although M and S sizes are a mystery now. I ordered a 10 and the fit is fine. Thank you to other reviewers who said the fit was a little big. Even with the 20% off I don’t think this is great value for money.

Love this dress. It is as light as a feather when wearing and feels like you are wearing next to nothing ! I just love the style, a little different. Have bought a thin navy blue polo to go underneath as a different look for chillier times. Great dressed up with ankle boots etc. Yes it’s roomy, but partly that’s the style. Given that I’m usually 8/10 the 6 fitted fine. Went for 8 in the end as it was less tight across the shoulders. Maybe go down a size. Great dress to eat Christmas lunch in !

I love this dress. Can dress it up with heels or wear with tights and boots for the daytime. I’m usually have a 10/12 but have had to have a 6 because of the style so I would recommend going for a smaller size. The skirt is gorgeous, would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely dress which I’m going to mainly wear for going out in. The light swishy fabric is perfect for the style of dress. The deep navy colour is lovely and a bit different to the ubiquitous black at this time of year. I found the fit to be spot on and true to size and the length for me is perfect. It looks on me about the same length as on the model and I am over 6 feet tall. I’m in agreement with a previous reviewer who said it looks more like an expensive designer piece, it’s just lovely. My new favourite going out dress. Thank you M&S! X

Delighted with the dress, saw it in a store, but procrastinated....came home bought on line and couldn’t be happier with the shape, fabric and versatility it offers. Perfect dressed up with sparkly accessories and equally good with boots and thick tights. Another great buy from M and S.

Very comfortable dress looked lovely, just too big, not a problem if you order a size smaller than usual. I had to return it I will re order a size smaller loved it.

I love the style of this dress. Some people said previously that it was oversized but it’s the style of the dress. M&S do tend to err on the more generous side but you know if you order your size its never gonna be too small. For me the size of this dress suits the styling of it. I love the colour and material although it does have an unusual feel to it but just because it’s different to every day material that you would normally wear. I cannot wait to wear this dress. X

I love this dress took it away on holiday got a lot of lovely comments made me feel good . Since coming home worn with ankle boots for a meal with friends great comments again .
