It is not recommended to leave outside for extended periods of inclement weather or in extreme conditions.,To prolong the life of the product the furniture must be stored over winter in a garage or in an unheated ventilated room. Ensure products are dry before storing.,Furniture covers – If using a furniture cover ensure product remains dry by checking regularly. Cover should not be placed on a wet product.

UK Home delivery - £15 for all furniture orders.
We’ll contact you to arrange a delivery date.
If you’ve ordered two or more pieces of furniture, we will aim for one delivery to your address – this is to minimise inconvenience and disruption to you and to help the environment with our Plan A commitment. Your estimated delivery timescale will be shown on the checkout page, before you pay. Some items are delivered flat packed. These flat packed pieces will need to be assembled by you. You can check this before you order under the ‘Item details’.
We are unable to deliver furniture to the Orkney Islands, internationally, some postcodes (see link) or to our stores for collection.

The base is not heavy enough to hold the Shanghai parasol, it should state in its description that it can only be safely used if umbrella inserted through a table for support as well as using the parasol base.

Sturdy Base
This base is solid and well made and the design is good. I’ve chosen to repaint mine green to match my choice of parasol and other garden products because black is not my colour scheme.

This base was pictured on the website with a parasol - I ordered both only to discover it must be used with a table with a hole to ensure it is safe

Bought this last year, what a waste of money it constantly blows over and cannot support the Shanghai parasol. It spends more time on the ground than it does upright. Bad representation Marks as the base and parasol aren’t compatible. Disgusted

I bought this for the umbrella I also bought from M&S , if you buy a light/smaller umbrella it may be okay but a large rectangular one it’s no use, I wish it would have said that in the description before I bought it as a complete waste of money because it’s not fit for purpose

Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. This base must be used in conjunction with a table for any parasol larger than 200 cm as advised on item product page.

Good sturdy parasol base. Bought together with the Shanghai parasol and they match perfectly - no need for a supporting table. I was worried the base would be too small for the parasol but it’s fine. I just roll it down in the evening incase the wind picks up.

Needs to be heavier and/or bigger
It's heavy but not heavy enough to hold the Shanghai parasol as inferred on the description or indeed by the picture. If there was a gust of wind it would fall over. I have secured it between two chairs with twine, which is not ideal. I'm confused as to why there isnt a stand sold at M&S that works effectively with this parasol. It's a shame as the parasol is great.

Garden umbrella base
Heavy base but just a bit concerned that if the umbrella is not secured by being slotted through a table the umbrella and base could still blow over in a wind

Doesn't support the shanghai parasol like the picture shows. as soon as the wind blows it falls over. should have read the small print that you shouldn't use wiith out a table for parasols over a certain size

This parasol base is neat and sturdy, and does a job. We do find, however, that although our parasol is secured in to the base, it doesn't stop it spinning around if there's a breeze
