[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought these 2 years ago and so far have hiked part of the AT and Isle Royal in them and they are great! They are waterproof to an extent, but haven’t had any issues in muddy areas. Comfortable and cute!

Bought these for myself and my teen for a trip to Acadia. They performed well without any break-in time. We had great weather so did not get to test the waterproofing. I would rate 5 stars, but there is NO insole/arch support. If you needed you could replace the insole.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I went for a hiking with them and I’m so happy that I bought them. They are so comfy and worn but feet don’t sweat. Just perfect. I took half of size bigger to have room for socks and they are just right

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work outdoors, so my gear needs to be tough and hold up for (hopefully) a few seasons. Mind you, I never write reviews but I bought these boots a few years ago, and to this day, I am so impressed by them. This pair of boots has hiked portions of Mount Whitney, the PCT, multiple field seasons and so much more. They are waterproof (I work IN ICY COLD rivers, so this is huge for me), my feet stay warm and I never had to break them in. I will be re-ordering!!

I wore these for 40+ miles of hiking in the PNW and they were so comfy even without having time to break them in. No blisters and the waterproofing held up through creeks, rivers, and puddles. They also looked super cute which was a plus. Highly recommend!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these for Christmas from my daughter back in 2022. These have been so good to my feet on the long trails and high peaks in Southern California. A year and a half later I noticed the bottom a little worn out. So I needed a new pair. I bought a pair of Merrell hiking boots, they fell apart in 3 weeks. So here I am buying a new pair of Newton Ridge boots. I am looking fwd to my adventures in the mountains and deserts with something I can trust. Only thing is I am sizing up to a 9.5. I am a 8.5 foot size. Trek On!

No, I don't recommend this
They’re cute but not particularly comfortable. My feet hurt after a few miles of hiking and I have blisters. They run small/narrow also. Maybe I would have preferred a bigger size.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very cute and comfortable boot, BUT the color in the picture is not the same in person. The picture gives orange but in person the boot is a very dull rust. Still cute, still gonna hike but it’s not giving what is supposed to have gave.

Lava Rock vs. Columbia

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have worn these boots to hike to the peak of Mt. Lassen, and recently used them in Hawaii. Hunting the Big Island near Mauna Loa, mean LOTS of volcanic rock. Not only were these boots incredibly comfortable, but they held up on the lava rock. I didn’t have to worry about skipping or rolling my ankle. Not to mention these boots had NO break in time- wore them right out of the box. Lava will tear through any shoe, so this wear is expected after a few days of use. But no complaints, buying another pair now!

Workhorse boots!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me tell you, these boots really punch above their weight! Bought them a few seasons ago and they are still going strong. Originally I purchased for light hiking and casual use...wasn't expecting a lot. Since then, I have worn them on multiple long, rocky, and wet hikes in an arctic Norway summer, as well as a 9.5 mile, 9 hour hike to the summit of Colorado's Mt. Elbert. On each occasion I was SO impressed by both their all-day comfort and performance. In Norway, I was also surprised at how waterproof they are! They're super warm, great for colder weather. I definitely wouldn't wear them in the summer or for warmer weather hikes, unless you run super cold. I overheat easily when active so I'd opt for something lighter above 60 degrees or so. Another thing to note is the midsole's softer foam areas are less sturdy than the rest of the boot. I have a few pretty visible chunky scrapes on that part, but overall I'm impressed by how well this boot wears. Overall, 100% recommend. Great for anything from casual wear (they look great! classic hiker vibes) to long, arduous day hikes, and can even handle challenging conditions and terrain. A stylish and affordable workhorse boot to be sure.

These fit perfectly and are so comfortable and supportive. The colors are vivid and eye catching. They give me the traction and waterproof protection I need for rainy Seattle winters.

I love these boots. I still need to try them on my hiking trip but I’ve wear them during a day-long errand on a hot day. I thought I might get hot feet but they were quite transpirable, comfortable and not stiff at all. My plan was to breast them in before the hike but I don’t think you need to do it. I’m always 7.5, bought an 8 in purple because I usually wear thick socks and for cold weather you will need an extra layer since these boots are not very warm.

I really wanted to like these. The colors are great and the boots are very lightweight. However, I ordered a 7.5 (half size bigger than my sneakers as I usually do for almost all boots I buy) and while the foot felt fine, the back of the shoe just rubbed into my ankle tremendously. My ankles were so sore, and the bone felt numb by the end of the day. I even tried different socks and it felt the same. Not worth it at all, not even to break in. They get easily dirty as well.
