step 1
Preheat the oven to 180°C/160°C Fan/gas mark 4 and lightly grease an ovenproof dish. Mix the remaining butter (4 tbsp) with the easy peeler zest (1) and cinnamon (1 tsp). Spread the panettone (6 slices) with the butter then layer up in the dish.

Whisk together the eggs (2), cream (100 ml), milk (175 ml), liqueur (100 ml) and sugar (3 1/2 tbsp) until combined. Pour the mixture over the panettone and allow it to absorb for 10 minutes.

Scatter the pistachios (4 tbsp) on top then bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown. Sprinkle with easy peeler zest to serve.
