step 1
Cook the baguettes (2) according to the pack instructions.
step 2
Meanwhile, prepare each of the toppings: combine the crab (100 g) with the lemon mayo (2 tbsp), cut the salmon (1 pack) into bite-sized slices, and slice the cheddar (6 slices).
step 3
Allow the baguette to cool slightly, then cut into 18 thick slices at an angle, about 2cm thick.
step 4
Preheat the grill to medium. Arrange two thirds of the baguette slices on a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil and grill for 2-3 minutes on each side, until golden. Set aside.
step 5
With the remaining bread, grill on one side until golden. Remove from the grill, spread over the chutney (6 tsp) and place a slice of cheese on top. Grill for 2-3 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling.
step 6
To make the crab crostini, spoon a little of the lemony crab onto 6 slices of toasted baguette. Serve with lemon wedges (1), a sprig of dill (6 sprigs) and lots of black pepper.
step 7
To make the smoked salmon crostini, spoon a little tartare sauce (2 tbsp) over the remaining 6 slices of toasted baguette, then top with smoked salmon and a sprig of dill (6 sprigs).
step 7 To make the smoked salmon crostini, spoon a little tartare sauce (2 tbsp) over the remaining 6 slices of toasted baguette, then top with smoked salmon and a sprig of dill (6 sprigs).
