step 1
Trim the sprouts (500 g) and remove any dry outer leaves. Slice in half lengthways.
step 2
Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a large frying pan and cook the bacon lardons (1 pack) until crispy, add the garlic (2 cloves) and cook for 1 minute. Transfer to a bowl and set to one side.

Return the pan to the heat with an extra drizzle of olive oil and add the sprouts and sage (3). Season with salt and pepper. Fry for 8 minutes, until the sprouts are tender.

Stir through the marmalade (1 tbsp), bacon lardons and garlic, and cook for a further 2 minutes. Remove from the pan and serve.
