Deliciously crispy, our Made Without Batter makes the best toad in the hole recipe with a perfect golden crunch, thanks to plenty of cornflour in the mix. Filled with spring veggies and light chicken chipolatas, it’s a mouthwatering Easter Sunday dinner.

step 2
Preheat the oven to 220°C/200°C fan/gas mark 7. Brush a large baking dish with 3 tbsp olive oil and pop into the oven for 2 minutes, until piping hot. Carefully add the chicken sausages (10) and return to the oven for 10 minutes, until lightly golden.
step 3
Quickly add the peas (150 g) and asparagus (150 g) to the tray, alongside the sausages, then pour over the batter. Cook for 15-20 minutes, until golden and crisp.
