Meet blogger and new mum Freddie Harrel. A style trailblazer for her 100,000-plus Instagram followers, she knows a thing or two about dressing well – but what about styling a post-baby body? Here, she creates four new-season looks with aptly named ‘mom’ jeans
“I’m back in the land of the high waist, having been baby-bump free for a few months now,” says Paris-born Freddie. “So naturally, I had to have these ‘mom’ jeans. They’re a failsafe choice for any new mum: the high-rise (and added stretch) will give you a confidence boost, while the ankle-grazer crop means you can show off statement footwear. But what to wear with them?
“A good blazer is always a great idea, and this navy one [] is my new staple. I’ve paired it with a fun spotted shirt, complete with red sandals and a red lip, because you can’t go wrong with a tricolore mood. Trainers will work here too for days when you’re on the go. I also love a stripe, and this red Breton top [] is just the ticket to make spring an official thing.”
“With spring in our midst (I realise this might sound like wishful thinking – I’m looking at you, grey sky!), I think it’s high time to grab the first floral number you can find,” says Freddie. “For me, it has to be this amazing bomber jacket. If winter has got you feeling grumpy, this bright number is guaranteed to put a smile on your face and I’ve rarely been seen without it since I first tried it on.”
“Spring FLORALS are a
great way to brighten your
mood and wardrobe”
“You can never trust the weather on this side of the world,” says Freddie. “So it wouldn’t be a true spring edit without some knitwear. I’ve been wearing my heart on my bell sleeves recently (a key catwalk trend), so this jumper of dreams is the latest addition to my growing collection. It has such Seventies appeal, I just had to have it!”
“Go for BOLD with
knitwear – this bell-sleeved
jumper is an instant
style statement”
