Checked Cocoon Overcoat

So pleased to have found this. It is warm flattering and a lovely contemporary design to go with my clothes. I wasn’t pleased to find that it was on a 20% off offer a few days after buying it so it had been repurchased at the lower price. Although the coat is a generously cut it sits well and will accommodate a warmer jumper on colder days so this is in fact a positive!

I’m 5ft 4” and unfortunately too long for me even with high heels.

This coat comes up a bit big so I would recommend a size smaller than your usual size . It has a lovely weight to it and nice and warm . Already had lots of compliments!

The style, colour and design were lovely but the fabric?! I'm not sure anyone wants a coat that looks to be made from teddy bear fabric, which sadly to me this was just what this coat looked and felt like. Sadly just not for me

Love this coat. Just the right length for me,I'm 5ft 6 ins. As other reviewers have said, I had to go down a size but there is still plenty of room for a thick jumper. Cosy and warm and black, grey camel and cream go beautifully with it. Just like the M&S of old.

It did come up a bit big but I wanted that, so I am happy. Lovely colours. I am wearing with Dr. Martins but will go with any boots. This coat will see me through winter. Another great item from Marks

I am usually a size 22 in coats although if they are loose fitting I can sometimes get away with a size 20. This coat is huge, I have ended up with an 18 and it is still roomy. It is a warm coat and a reasonable price so I have kept it. The lapels are large and if you are of a smaller build I think that it will not suit you. I am 5'4" and it comes down to mid calf on me. Almost everything that I have ordered over the last few months has not been true to size!

Not sure I would like this coat but it has grown on me. Heavier weight than I expected and just below mid calf on my 5ft 3 inch frame. Really warm for winter and looks good with long and short boots. Love the check fabric even though my partner pointed out it is similar to his dressing gown! I ordered my usual size 8 but could probably have downsized to a 6 but I like the slightly oversize look.

A perfect cosy coat to wear in this weather taking the chill away. Its easy to open and close with one button perfect for popping in and out of the shops and car and a great all rounder It’s looks smart and can be dressed up or down A good length Love this

Saw this in my local M&S and liked the look and feel of it - great colours. However, I have a fairly small frame and the top half of the coat swamped me (I tried a size 8). I ordered a size 6 to try - the top half was a little better but the bottom half was a bit tight around my hips - wouldn't have been able to layer. OK if you're well endowed up top! I ticked I would recommend to a friend as it would suit some of them. I wish I'd been sensible and bought the long slate blue single breasted wool coat last year when it was available in a size 8. It sold like hot cakes and I hoped it would be repeated this year due to it's popularity but it was not to be. Lesson learnt there!

Love everything about this coat. It’s a great fit , the material is lovely and soft . Was lucky enough to buy during 20% off weekend so was a real bargain.

I take a size 8 in a coat and originally tried on this coat in a size 8 and it was too small. After ordering a size 10 online which was huge on me, I went back into M&S to find out that it was a size 6 on an 8 hanger! It's a lovely coat but all the hassle has put me off. Would recommend to anyone just make sure you try on the correct size!
