Garden Wall Mounted Bird Bath

This was bought as a present but only one snag. I had forgotten that Aussie birds are mainly parrots and much bigger than the English variety. But it makes a pretty ornament for the garden.

I was buying 2 items in the Christmas 3 for 2 offer so was looking in store for a third item. I spotted the bird bath and could see no mention of the size on the box. As the box was sealed I did not open it until I got home. I was shocked! It is more like a paddling pool for one tiny bird. It would hold about 2 tablespoons of water which would evaporate in an hour on a hot day. The picture on the box is misleading. Although the dimensions are on the website, it fails to explain that it is the size of the bracket, not the 'bath'. I took it back the next day even though the receipt said 'no refund or exchange' and did in fact have part refund part exchange upon talking to the manager. I just feel sorry for all those people who have bought this as a present and will give it to someone on Christmas morning. Also £25 at full-price is way too expensive. These will be greatly reduced in the sale, but even then they are not worth it, as not fit for purpose.

We have just opened the box and Shock no. 1 it is TINY. I have seen bigger ash trays, Shock no.2 the screw snapped whilst attaching to the wall, but not a big problem as we can use a spare one , Shock no. 3 I paid £25 for it !!!
