This is 3rd Fired Earth/M&S bedding I’ve purchased, love the designs however the material this set is made from, especially the plain material on the back, is not nice. In fact I couldn’t bear the pillow slip against my face and I don’t have particularly sensitive skin. It feels quite abrasive. One or two other reviews mention this problem too. I’ve not had this problem with the other 2 designs. I’m hoping it will soften when washed as the design is lovely.

This is the third duvet cover I have purchased from the Fired Earth range. I love the colours and good quality fabric of this range. This duvet cover is beautiful and the fabric quality as good as ever, however instead of the usual elegant wooden buttons this one comes with fabric tie fasteners. That is the reason for the lower rating. There are 3 ties on each matching pillowcase and a whole lot more on the cover itself. What a nuisance it is tying them up! Also they come untied as you use everything. To avoid this I did double bows but then had to untie all those to take every off again for washing. Yes these are mentioned in the product description but because I had purchased from this range before I didn’t read it this time before purchase, just looked at the beautiful pattern and ordered immediately. So my own fault. You can see the ties in the photos if you look closely as well. The other reason for a lower rating for this product is that the sizing is all wrong. I ordered a king size and it came labelled as king size but my duvet is swimming in this cover. It seems to be wider and longer. I have put it aside until the winter when I use a thicker duvet so it will fit more comfortably but it will still be over large. Not sure whether the duvet cover was incorrectly labelled or this particular design comes in a bigger size. A mystery!

This bedding did not disappoint, I had previously chosen a plain set, the pattern was even more indulgent, lovely quality fabric, beautifully made with a delightful pattern.

Nice enough, but bit disappointed at cotton not being as soft as I thought it would be.

Bought the Dusty Cedar colour...this duvet set is well worth the money.Very versatile colour.Light on the bed..ties add extra dimension. Feels and looks really summery..all adds to a good night sleep. Washes well too. Can definitely recommend.

Stylish bedding made of good quality cotton. Really nice to have against skin and I’d recommend to most people
