OK but more high rise than mid.
The short length I ordered was on the long side for me (I'm 5ft) and they fitted more like high rise than mid. Nice jeans but just didn't suit due to the way they fitted my small frame.

Good quality proper jeans. Nearly 100% cotton. Not nasty stretchy stuff. But !!! Fatface they are too short to be called long. Only measure 31” . Should be at least 33”. I will keep them for the summer and wear flip flops. But I am disappointed

I chose the darker denim. I wasn't sure what size would be right having bought both 14Reg, 14Long and 16reg in the in past, and knowing how sizes vary. I found the 14 regular was a perfect fit and I didn't even need to take the waist in as I often do for a sway back. I'd have like them very slightly longer to wear with heeled boots but these are perfect with trainers etc. I'm 5' 6" with a 29"ish leg. Very pleased. Returned the 16R without trying them on.

Lovely style, perfect fit. Not too wide, nice boot cut, looks greats with a nice ankle boot. But most off all the length. I’m just over 5’ and the inside leg measures 26.5” so no need too be shortened unlike the Per Una Short Jeans measuring 27.5” and require shortening. Only a thought M&S your short trousers are not short enough for us shorties.
