Shoddy but expensive
No, I don't recommend this
The finish on this lamp is very shoddy especially as it was not cheap. The switch is very awkward to use and sort of sits on the floor looking very untidy. I don’t like it and would not recommend it.

We bought this lamp at the end of 2016 with some money given to us when we married. We hate the thing, like someone else mentioned the joint/wood doesn't support the weight of the lamp, ours constantly falls down not matter how much we tighten it. It's not worth the money and I don't recommend.

Fault with design
No, I don't recommend this
Have reported this lamp to customer services as being faulty. Love the design and the lamp and wooden stand are well made. However the connecting part of the moulded base is not straight so the lamp sits in the base at an angle. Will be returning for a full refund. If M&S can rectify the problem with the base, would recommend.

Wood finish very pale, unlike the main photo. Head only swivels in one plane. Lamp has a footswitch (not shown) on a very inflexible power cord, and it takes an E27 8W CFL, not the E14 11W described.
