Wide fit not very wide!

I ordered the wide fit version of this loafer having found the standard fit to be too narrow in store. To be honest the fit was a disaster - it was still too narrow in the front of my foot, but was also too long so slipped up and down at the heel. Simultaneously too small and too big. Returned them.

These shoes are lovely but the wide fit isn’t as wide as I was expecting. I’m hoping because the leather is soft that they stretch a little.

I love these loafers. I had been looking for years for loafers that were stylish AND comfortable for my wide feet. These shoes were a tiny bit tight at the beginning and when I first tried them on in the shop, but they are now like slippers! The quality of the leather / overall make is great and the sole is a bit thick which means they are great for walking. There's a bit of a heel which is also good at making me taller (I normally wear ballet shoes for comfort, but since finding this style, I wear the ballets a lot less!) I am looking at getting a second pair!

There seem to be two 5.5 wide sizes from Clark’s. Some fit me perfectly, the others are too narrow to even try to put on. Unfortunately, these were the narrower version. Well made, sturdy looking, but if Clark’s Hope Roxanne is your preferred fit, these are not for you.

Bought these shoes for school for my nearly 16 year old daughter. They are perfect - not too girly but not too chunky either. The leather is beautifully soft and the insoles are squishy and comfortable. Expensive but worth it when she has to wear them all day every day.
