5pk Essential Cotton Trunks

I've been buying these briefs for years without issue, but as noted by other recent reviews the sizing has been changed and with my latest set in my usual size I feel like I'm squeezing in to a girdle. Of course you don't realise about the stealth resizing until you've actually got them on, so they're out the packaging and have been used and at that point M&S won't refund, so buy with caution.

Picked up a pack of these in an outlet store at £10 and wish I hadn't bothered!! The fit is terrible. I'm not sure what kind of waist to leg ration this has been designed for, but picked the usual size around the waist (which is accurate) but the legs are so wide which means they move round and bunch up and are generally uncomfortable. Also it feels like I'm wearing the backwards (I'm not!), front lacks any support to keep things in place as no shape and way too much fabric. While around the back the opposite is true. Again making it an uncomfortable fit. I'm not going to buy underwear from M&S again!!

I have been buying these for years and very happy. Comfortable and cool. These are definitely tighter and I should have bought a size up. Hoping they’ll loosen in the wash and tumble dryer.

I recently purchased these trunks as i needed some new underwear. These trunks are actually very comfortable and are good quality for what you pay for them. They are more expensive compared to other places but i don't mind paying the extra for them because they are much better quality from Marks & Spencer so they will last longer if you look after them. I will definitely buy again in the future if i need to or want to. Highly Recommend 👍

The depth from crotch to waist band needs to be a little longer

Like so many clothes today, they're designed for men with large leg circumference. This severely reduces the support function of the pants if you're a slimmer size.

Bought a size L but it really sizes an M. Seems the cloth cut has changed and this have changed the cloth stretch, making the trunks quite tight.

I've been wearing M&S trunks for over 40 years and have always been happy with the quality and the fit. However, the last pack I bought, I find that they have changed the design and the sizing. Because I am a wheelchair user and am sitting all day, I have to be careful that I do not sit on any crease or seams that may cause me to have skin problems. So what have M&S done, they have put a seam right down the middle of the backside. the elastic band was different and the material seemed thinner. I've always had the large size in the past and because I have read that these came up small I ordered the XL, but they were still too small. Why do companies change these things, haven't they ever heard of the saying "if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it"

I bought these as I liked the style and fit as I had purchased them before or what I thought was the same style. The size said XL as before but compared to the old ones the fit was completely different and smaller. Bit disappointed

These had been my go-to pants for years -comfy without being baggy, and I prefer the cut and elastic on this cheaper range. I went hunting for some recently, but couldn’t find them in any physical stores anymore. I considered the ‘fresh and cool’ ones, but those are HUGE in a size small, bigger than my actual shorts! So I bought these trusty ones online, and was completely mortified to find they’ve messed up the sizing completely. They fit like they’re made for a small child and really uncomfortable! WHY, M&S?!! Now I have no idea where to buy reliable underwear. Absolutely gutted. How on earth can you justify calling these the same size as the other range? These are now like an XXS, and the others are like an L. It makes no sense why you would ruin a great product and lose a customer. Really disappointed.

Been buying these trunks for years as they have soft waist bands. However as always the sizing is awful. I have this item in size L & size XL they fit. The latest XL batch is more like size L In general your sizes are not consistent enough. Don't get me started on trousers sizes/fit

A bad buy. I have bought underwear for 50 years from M&S without issue. The fit is tight and short so that when you bend over, builder’s crack. I should have returned them but too much of an effort so they went to the clothes bank. Why is your sizing no longer consistent

Excellent value for money. Son is very happy with them, will buy again. Always good quality clothing from M&S.
