Weird sizing, very large with short sleeves. very disappointing

Very disappointed with this coat. Ordered my usual size, it was absolutely enormous, could have got another in it with me, Didn’t like the material, though colour was OK. Returned.

Oversized!
This coat is huge. I am a size 12/14 so ordered a 14 so that I could wear thick jumper underneath. Even a 12 would be way too big, dubious as to whether I should order a size 10, haven't worn that size for 40 years. Beautiful coat though.
