Superior quality
Yes, I recommend this
A perfect balance of a superior dry crisp sparkling wine with a delicately fruity aroma. This rosè is so much better than any Prosecco and the normal sparkling wine in this range.

Brilliant Bubbles

Highly recommended, very fine alternative to Champagne. Having tried Chapel Down for the first time last year we are now firm converts to this English sparkler. Buying during the 25% off recommended price was an added bonus.......

fresh and lively, but aroma down from before
No, I don't recommend this
I first bought this wine around 3 years ago, when the description of "aromas of honeysuckle and wild summer berries" was more accurate. I certainly found the taste delicious then. The following year it cost a fair bit more than the white sparkly, so I opted for the latter - not quite as good. Last year I couldn't find the rose at all, but just recently have purchased 12 bottles again. I think the price was the same as the white. However, it doesn't seem to have captured the lovely, subtly unique aroma I first enjoyed, which is disappointing, though it is still a clean, enjoyable bubbly. In fact, it is probably more like the white of a couple of years ago, as far as I can remember.

An outstanding British sparkling rose
Yes, I recommend this
This was bought to help celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. It was sparkling, it was pink and it was BRITISH!. It was a great success and it was among the very best 'Pink Champagnes' that I have tasted.

why buy champagne?
Yes, I recommend this
why buy champagne when the english sparkling are for me consistently much better value for money than the french champagnes for the same money. I had only positive comments from my guests on this chapel down - comments such as crisp, clean , lovely etc. I had to hide the last bottle for my own consumption at a later date

Better than many champagnes
Yes, I recommend this
Not a fan of English still wines, I wasn't sure I was going to enjoy this. However, from the first sip I was impressed. If you were blind tasting, you could be fooled that this was a pink Champagne. The bubbles are tiny and fill the mouth and the taste is rich and long. Good value, especially during promotions, I will buy this from now on in place of Champagne and support our home vineyards.

Fantastic Sparkling Rose
Yes, I recommend this
I bought a case for our Jubilee Street Party, and this went down a storm as it;s delicous, and I liked it a lot more than the Oudinot which I usually buy. I have one bottle left which I shall be keeping for myself and not sharing!
