As a fan not just of Rioja but also of M & S wines, I was hoping for big things from this wine. However what I got was a very astringent wine, lots of bitter tannins, little fruit and a metallic aftertaste. There was hardly any of the classic Rioja vanilla aroma with none of typical taste of strawberry, raspberry and spices. Very poor effort!
