I have purchased several cashmere cardigans from M&S over the years and always loved them, however, this new style is such a disappointment. The sizing is much larger, the fit is shapeless and the material feels much cheaper and lower in quality. I returned the cardigan and the assistant confirmed that they are supplied by a different manufacturer to the previous iteration of this cardigan. Please bring back the old style M&S, it was far superior!

Soft light layer in a mood lifting colour
The cardigan was very much as expected - classic timeless style and regular fit. However the colour was a bit brighter than expected and the sleeves were a little bit short - neither of these was an issue. I bought it at sale price so was very pleased. It will be versatile as I can wear it over dresses, with skirts and trousers and whenever a little bit of warmth is needed. The red colour gives a cheerful lift to outfits and will be very good with my many navy items.

The lovely soft luxurious cashmere cardigans aren not as soft and luxurious as they used to be. The quality of the cashmere is nowhere near as good as when they were made in Madagascar. They also fit small so order one size up.

Not the greatest consumer experience
The cardigan is nice, the sizing really weird as my mother is normally a 12 and I had to buy her a 16. Also it’s the second time I buy a nice and expensive cashmere from M&S and it comes with no plastic bag, no tissue paper, thrown in a green M&S bag, crumpled.

Great value as I got in sale, great quality cashmere, ive got a dark red one- same make and its lasted really well, i like wearing it and had compliments- nice size, shape, probably dye this new one, as only had cream left, so am thinking about that next step, which colour, etc.....
