1700 Pocket Spring Medium Lambswool Mattress

This is the third mattress we have purchased, we have it in three bedrooms. Superb, so comfy. Can’t wait to go to bed at night.

My partner and I tried so many different mattresses in stores, before we found this one. It's absolutely perfect! We rarely ever have broken sleep now. It's so comfortable whilst giving a good level of support.

Excellent product and excellent service. Good value for money

I bought this mattress a year ago after trying it out in store whilst ordering furniture for out lounge. Mattress felt wonderful especially as our old mattress needed replacing. Initially we found the mattress really comfortable, and I even recommended it to a work colleague. Unfortunately, after a years use, signs are that it’s life expectancy will be shorter than our previous mattress. The lambs wool topper (one of the things that drew me to purchase this mattress) has started to breakdown and we are able to feel the small springs that are in the topper. Also, the sides of the mattress are started to stick out. M&S were very helpful and sent out an independent assessor who advised us that it isn’t classed as a fault just wear and tear. Whilst I understand this, I do think that a year is not enough to justify deterioration of our mattress. If you are considering buying this mattress I would advise that you only purchase for a room where it is used occasionally. It does deliver a comfortable nights sleep when new but after a years use we are not impressed.

I bought this lambswool 1700 pocket spring mattress in king size medium firmness back in February 2022, the order was wrong and I received a double bed size essential open coil mattress (basically a completely different mattress). I managed to exchange for the correct order which comes in another 1.5 month later. Now I have had this mattress for 2 months, we followed care instruction to rotate every week and the mattress is still very stiff/firm. It isn't as comfortable or as soft as the store display mattress which we tried over and over again before purchase. I am using it on a sprung slat bed, which should give me a cushion effect but instead I suffer from occasional backpain in the morning. Hence, I am giving this a two star at the moment, I hope my mattress does eventually soften in time and gives me the expected medium firmness from the display mattress in store.

Absolutely love this mattress, really comfortable and great value for money. Fast and friendly delivery service too.

Mattress lovely with the pillow top quite a firmish mattress does need rotating every week to start as can see the indentation if not rotated overall a good mattress did get this mattress with some discount off think its bit expensive on full price

This latest purchase was a result of previous purchases. We were so impressed with the one our daughter had that we replaced three of these mattresses in our own home. We’re so pleased with them that having just build an extension, we bought a fourth. I can’t give a higher recommendation than that!!

Everything we excepted. Wonderful mattress and a bit firmer than showroom which was no surprise.

I bought this mattress in 2017. I have turned it regularly per instructions but now it is making my hips and back ache terribly...to the point where i have been to see Osteopath. Yes it is 4 yrs old but id expect a mattress of this cost to last longer than that! Also comes with a 10 yr guarantee but apparently it is normal wear and tear so not worth the warranty at all

So comfy. I absolutely love it. Deep so fits beautifully into the Hastings bed frame. Highly recommended.

I did some serious research into mattresses only to become completely and utterly confused by all the terms and specs from different manufacturers. In the end my wife saids let's look at M&S mattresses in the shop and take it from there. A very helpful member of staff spent a good 20 minutes of her time telling us all she knew and we bought it there and then. What a hefty mattress but boy was it worth it. We have slept on it for months now and it is so comfortable with the pillow top and so supportive at the same time. I weigh in at a hefty 16 stone but my wife is only 12 stone, but it suits both our weights perfectly. Getting it up the stairs was interesting as it is Super Kingsize, but no regrets, so much better than our previous collapsing memory foam mattress, never again. I understand these are made in Devon and there's even some recycled M&S clothing in the bases. Can't recommend this product enough, two years of bad nights sleep have come to a complete end. Bought as a like for like replacement of old M&S pillow top mattress. All other mattresses in household are M&S too and very pleased with them. Please AVOID purchasing this mattress, it is like lying in a drain pipe, is lumpy and is certainly not like for like!! The biggest waste of money ever, exceptionally disappointed. If this is the new standard of mattress then I will avoid buying any M&S mattresses in the future.
