Leather Block Heel Knee Boots

Plain good quality everyday boots. Will go with everything. They are very comfortable and the heal hightvis easy to walk in

Disappointed because the length of the leg was too high and caught the back of my knee. No good for anyone 5ft 3 or below.

I deliberated over these boots for a while because of some negative reviews. I had been looking for good quality, chocolate colour boots! Then I finally decided to try them and managed to find the last one in a local store! Thank you M&S! I always say M&S please don't disappear from the High Street like the other traditional GBR classics because you never disappoint! :) And was even better as I got 20% off :))

Thought these boots would be ideal to wear with leggings, trousers/ jeans , skirt/ dress. Lovely quality and colour when I saw them. Unfortunately they are far too wide at the top, resembling Wellington boots. Completely unsuitable to wear with leggings, skirts or dresses. They would be ok under jeans or trousers as the top would not be seen. I have sent them back.

I loved these boots when I first got them, but then realised that they have almost no grip, to the extent that I think they are actually quite dangerous. I slipped over a couple of times wearing them, the second of which nearly sent my baby daughter flying as I was pushing her in the pram at the time! On top of that the heel broke (came loose at the sole) after 2 weeks and maybe 5 wears in total. I returned them in store. Fit and style wise I thought they were great, but boots are usually too tight on my calves so maybe it’s just me! However, surely some grip on the sole should be expected as standard on boots like this? They are meant for walking...

Firstly I must admit I'm keeping them because they're very comfortable, but I must add the other reviews which state they're incredibly large around the top are spot on. Never mind fitting one pair of jeans inside - I could fit three and I don't have particularly skinny legs! Oddly, they fit well on the lower calf, so they couldn't be advertised for wide calves. Just rather an odd shape, but it was so nice to find a pair that don't have that rather ugly elasticated strip down the side.

Bought these boots as after reading other customers comments, made it sound like they were really loose and “gappy” round the calf, so thought they would be perfect. My calf’s are 17 inches in circumference so no good to me. 15 inches and below, you’ll be fine. Perfect fit in the foot though. I would have loved to have kept them as they were really nice boots.

Excellent quality practical day to day winter boots which look good with trousers or casual skirts.

The negative reviews drew me to buy these boots. Most were saying that the boots were too wide in the calf. My calves measure 15" at the widest point and I find it impossible to find knee length boots to fit. These are perfect, zipped up with ease and yet the shoe of the boot is not overly wide. I bought black leather knee high boots from M & S many years ago. They had a low heel and non-slip sole. They have lasted so well that I hoped for the same quality, but was disappointed. Theses boots looked very elegant (as do my previous pair), but the heel was much higher than I like and I found them to be a very narrow fitting, although the regular fitting in shoes are comfortable. Why do M & S not cater for wider fitting?

These are the first tall boots that I have been able to zip up fully, for decades! They fit around the calf, and are b nontight round the ankle. The padding in the sole makes them very comfortable to walk in. I have bought them to wear with 70s style dresses.I think they look fab! :-) This winter, for the first time in years, I have bought both clothes and boots from Markies. Well done. Also, although a great fan off online shopping,I have enjoyed going into store too: the staff are so fabulous.

As I always have trouble finding boots to fit my large calves I was encouraged to try these as the reviews indicated that they were a wide fit. Sadly still not wide enough for me so have had to return them. It would be helpful if Marks could publish the circumference of boots to help those of us with above or below average legs.

I thought I had finally found some Tan boots. The shoe fit was really good but they were so big around the calf are it spoilt the look completely so boots returned.

These boots are a nice quality with a wear all day height heel. The foot fits probably to size, but the calf is so wide that even with Jeans tucked in they flap around when you walk. I read the reviews and decided to buy these even with the warnings about the width of the calves as I have had problems in the past finding boots to fit mine, but these are just massive! If you don’t mind your boots baggy at the top, buy them they are a nice quality leather. Otherwise i really can not recommend them.
