Good starter box

This box is a good way to introduce kids to Lego. They get a lot of parts they can build using their imagination, and a box to store them in.

Son's First Lego Set!

As someone who grew up playing with Lego and who rediscovered it a few years ago for adult fun as well, to say I was looking forward to the day I’d give my son his first set would be a massive understatement. We opted for this set because it seemed to have the greatest diversity of elements (wheels, eyes, larger plates, big pieces) and not too many small pieces as we weren’t sure about his frustration level or fine motor skills (he’s 3). Well, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience, from the quiet disbelief when we gave it to him to the never-ending fun he has with it, and with us as well:) Watching how his play has developed over the past few months has been remarkable, from dexterity to creativity - I thought the included instructions would be too hard for his age but he took to them immediately (with some assistance haha). In conclusion - could not recommend this set enough. The difficult part now is deciding what should be his SECOND set?

Needed More of Everything

It just needed more bricks. There really wasn't a whole lot you could build with what they give you if that was one of your first creative building sets.

Giving to the kiddos

I bought the box of bricks as a gift for a friend who is a teacher. Her students LOVE them and when she left the profession a few years ago she gave all her Legos to one of her students at the time. She has since returned to teaching and one of her current students is friends with the boy she gave them to years ago. He talks about her all the time and still plays with those Legos. She uses the Legos as a reward for the kids. She didn’t ask for them this year on her “wishlist” but I knew she didn’t have any. Thought I’d surprise her and the kiddos.

I loved this box as it contained a nice amount of bricks that you can use to remake some sets in different colours and you can stack this box on top/bottom of the large creative box I just wish all the brick boxes were stackable

I mostly wanted this set for the box and it did not disappoint! It's a great size and stacks on the other storage boxes that look like these. The builds are super cute too and I really love the flowers!

I bought this product for my nephew he is five so things don’t stay built for very long even if you don’t build the product shown on the box they are always good for building different projects.

this is perfect for a kid to start creating stories. Some brick will get lost but you'll find them under the sofa. It would be improved with the addition of mini figurines though

This bin of bricks is the perfect start for a new “Legoist”. The bricks are bright colors and a good variety of shapes. My grandson (age 4) and I had several hours of fun together with this set.

Good deal but a double edged sword for builders

Getting back into Lego, most of what I have are sets so this is my first foray back into free-building sets. So my review is in that regards, adult builder starting out into free building. Lots of pieces, the presentation upon opening is really nice, color sorted into bags. The box is OK, wish it was thicker and less flexy but luckily the handles are in the box, not the lid. This seems like a really good gift though as all the pieces would compliment an existing Lego collection. My main issue is you can't build much with the pieces if it's all you really have, you get tons of colors and types of pieces but few of each, usually two. You kinda need two of these to get enough to even start free building anything that doesn't look mismatched. Fine for a kid but for an adult that wants to build something a tad more uniform, not so much.
