Position- Stand the planter outdoors in a sunny or lightly-shaded position, such as on a patio, near a wall, or under an open porch
•
Shelter from strong or cold winds, very heavy rain and frosts. In winter it is best moved into a more protected position, such as a greenhouse, cool conservatory or porch. This is particularly important for Cyclamen
•
Care- The compost should never be allowed to dry out completely, but equally do not allow the planter to become waterlogged. Raising the planter above the ground slightly will help it to drain freely
•
Adding some plant food to the water every 2 weeks or so between late spring and early autumn will prolong flowering. During hot spells frequent watering may be needed and this is best done in the morning or evening, to avoid scorching the plants
•
Reduce watering in cold weather and do not allow the pot to freeze. Remove any dying or damaged flowers or leaves as you see them. After flowering, any healthy plants can be replanted if desired into individual pots to prolong their life

Lilies, Anthurium, Ivy, Hyacinth, Tulips, Narcissi and Berried Ilex are toxic to pets. Floral products should not be consumed by humans or animals

For ornamental purposes only. Not fit for human or animal consumption, some flowers, plants and pollen can be harmful to humans/pets. Protect all surfaces as scratching or staining may occur

Lovely red cyclamen, but they had fallen out and had to be replanted. Soil was very dry. The tree and plants looked good once replanted as you can see in the picture.

Holly was smaller than anticipated,one cyclamen was totally submerged ,flowers and all in the compost tried to replant by adding more compost but subsequently perished.A little disappointing for the cost,standard holly £20 in its own planter in other outlets .Not what I would describe as luxury I’m afraid.

The planter looked good on arrival but the soil was very dry and the smaller plants fell out as I took it out of the box. Judging by the root balls it was clear they hadn't been grown together but assembled at the last minute. I replanted and watered them and they seem to be doing well. There were only three red berries on it and the top had been heavily clipped. I have kept it in the kitchen which although fairly cold isn't as bad as the freezing conditions outside! I have had several plants from M&S and most have been fine but they are a bit hit and miss so it's always worth checking the root ball.
