Scrabble Original Board Game (10+ Yrs)

Not very well packed. The box of Scrabble was put inside a cardboard box with no bubble wrap or protection hence allowing it to move around it's packaging box which resulted in two of the corners of the Scrabble box being damaged. I unfortunately had to return it.

The scrabble dictionary survived the house move but our game got lost. Mattel provided a better quality replacement which arrived in time for the family Christmas Many thanks

Nice clear colourful version of a classic game. Very happy that the board shows the total number of each of the letters. Bought as up to date replacements for the Scrabble group at a local community centre.

This scrabble game is ideal to play with family members it will make lots of fun creating lots of different words-

Very well made and feels of premium quality, a classic word game that will always be played. Only improvements would be if it came with pencil and note pad as previous versions have.

Scrabble used to be our family's favourite game when I was small, So receiving it was a fabulous surprise. Even though the packaging is different to what i remember it's still the same game inside. It is a great way to spend quality time together on a Sunday after dinner and fun for everyone! it is for 2-4 players and you can easily spend 2 hours per game depending on the speed of the player to think of a word to fit, or arguing over what's not a word, We found it great fun for the older children and ourselves but the younger ones found it a little more difficult, though it did help them with spelling and learning new words and they still had great fun playing it. Overall a great family favourite that you never get bored of playing over and over again.

We love playing this with our son,he's 11. We find it really helps him learn new words and playing board games always brings us closer as a family

Who hasn’t played scrabble! Well I haven’t played it in probably 20years! So was excited to dive into every Christmas night of my childhood with my own family, and thankfully I wasn’t disappointed it’s as competitive, challenging and fun as I remember. We played with our eldest (11yrs) and I’ll be honest he wasn’t excited until we got started and he really enjoyed it! It’s fantastic at challenging and expanding your knowledge of the English language so perfect for my son. He’s already asking for a rematch so he can kick my butt this time . I think it’s safe to say that even my great grandchildren will be playing scrabble. it’s truly a timeless classic for all the family.

My daughter was thrilled with this house and secretly i couldnt wait to put it together and play. Comes with lots of accesories and opening/moving features which kept suprising my daughter as she discovered them. The door on the lift and the backs of the sunbeds have fallen off a few times when moving but do clip back on very easily and as a whole is robust enough to withstand my 2 year old son playing with it (he loves it). This house also folds up which means i can put it to one side if its not being played with and saves on having to have a permanant large space to keep it like with most dolls houses. We would deffinately recommend this house.

I was sent this Scrabble game to try and in return give an honest review. I haven't played scrabble since I lived at home and I had forgotten how much fun it can be. We played as a couple and also played with our 8 and 6 year old. We had the usual "is it in the dictionary" type arguments. But this all adds to the fun. It is as enjoyable a game now as it was when I was younger and it was thoroughly enjoyed by the whole family.

We played Scrabble together as a family for the first time. I'd played as a child but not played again for years but as soon as I saw the little letter tiles it all came flooding back to me. And what great fun it was too! We had some lively discussions about whether words were spelt right and whether they were allowed in the rules. It was great to see my boys playing a game which also made them think about their spelling rules and vocabulary. The highlight was being able to use the Z tile, although we couldn't quite manage to get to the extra points square too. The Q unfortunately didn't make it to the board! This is a game that all ages can join together and play. We'll definitely be getting it out at Christmas time to play with three generations. This is a classic game and it's appeal lasts forever. If you haven't played for a while, give it a try! You won't be disappointed.

Hi I do love the colour of the box and the play with the words on the front of the box, the pictures on the back are very clear of what you have to do and that it is a great family game. I do like that the instructions were on the top of the game and they were very clear and easy to understand. Then we opened the board, the colour really stood out for me and it is great that the scores for each letter is on the bottom right corner, next the bag, carrying on the colour,nice size, loads of room to shake and mix up them letters. then out came the letter stands, which were very solid and green, what a great colour. Now on to the letters,to me it could have done with a different font on them, and they looked cheap, compared to everything else. but apart from that it is still a wonderful game to play with your family, help with spelling and learning new words and spending time with family.

Received this a few weeks ago as a gift - fantastic board game, can be played as a couple or with friends (family) as teams - causes so much laughter - sometimes make it an option to create a story with the words that have been created
