Cheap but poor value!
No, I don't recommend this
Looked a good price BUT not worth buying. When opened it smelt ok but when in use the scent is barely discernible. As for the lather - it foamed up nicely in the bowl but as soon as it was applied to my face it started to disappear and was all gone before I finished shaving.

Good foamy soap. Bought for my husband who would recommend.

Absolutely dreadful
No, I don't recommend this
No idea how this got through any approval process, but someone at M&S must have signed this off as suitable to have their name on it and suitable to be sold in their shops. I have been a wet-shaver for many years and have tried both bad and very decent soaps and creams, but have never tried one as bad as this. I’m actually appalled that M&S produce something this bad, as it makes Wilkinson’s Sword shaving soap look like a premium product. It is almost impossible to get any kind of lather out of it, even after considerable effort, and the lather you get is the poorest I’ve ever come across. You’d actually be able to get a better lather from a bar of Pear’s hand soap. And although it smells pleasant when you first open it, once you start to use it the smell becomes unpleasant. I genuinely can’t think of any redeeming features for this shaving soap, as it is completely unfit for purpose. Shame on M&S for even selling this rubbish, and I’m only giving this product one star because the option of no stars isn’t available.

Smells nice but useless
No, I don't recommend this
The smell of this soap is its only positive, whilst I was able to creat an ok lather it dispersed in minutes, may as well have been using regular barsoap. If you want to buy a cheap but good shaving soap avoid this at all costs, just buy some Proraso or something instead.

Shaving soap
No, I don't recommend this
Have been using the soap for around 3 weeks now and love the smell and the price was fine, however the performance of the lather is disappointing. The bubbles don’t hold together for long. I’ve tried a number of ways to keep the lather thick sadly the pub lets break down within seconds of brushing it onto my face. I can get a shave but disappointed.
