Ordered these boots for son who needed them for holidays. After trying on many pairs in high st "outdoor wear"stores, which were heavy and clumpy, we were pleased to see M&S did a waterproof walking boot and shoe. These boots are perfect. Lightweight, excellent quality, pliable, leather. They are also very comfortable and stylish enough to wear sightseeing in town. They are approximately 4cm higher than the walking shoes, which we returned as he didn't need both.

NOT waterproof. Leaked around toe cap stitches

Expected better. On first wearing a few hours walking in rain around city streets both boots had leaked around the rubber toe cap stitching. Will be returning ,very disappointed as this was not even a tough walking test.

Excellent find
Having polio-affected limbs it was always difficult to find a sturdy lace-up with all round support trainer boots. This walking boot [ in black] serves my purpose beyond expectation. Even better it appears it 's cushioned soles acts as a shock-absorber making walking so comfortable. Trainers from M&S... didn't expect that. Lucky me.
