Wide Fit Leather Biker Ankle Boots

Too clumpy for me...a bit like fancy wellie style boots.

These boots have been a 'huge' disapointed. Firstly they scratched horrible within 3 hours of wear at the office. They look cheap and the insole is not comfortable. My feet slip and slide around in them. I've ended up keeping them just because I needed some boots. Not very good value for money.

These boots looked like a good choice for walking to work twice a week - about a mile each way. However, they stretched and became very loose - despite buying a size smaller, they are not as snug as they could be. Purchased in October, worn moderately as I alternate my boots so as not to wear them out, several of the thick 'grips' on the soles have worn completely and I can feel the concrete footpath beneath. Sadly they cannot be re-soled due to the style. Colourwise, they have faded to dark charcoal grey so that when I wear them with black trousers, there is a discrepancy between the colours (boots being noticably lighter than the trousers). Dublin had one of the driest winters ever and no snow so they are not faded from poor weather. I like the style but €105 is way too expensive for what they are quality and wear wise. Disappointed that they were not discounted in the sales as may have bought a new 'fresh looking' pair and am reluctant to pay full price again now that I know they'll fade, soul not as thick as it looks etc.

These boots are nice and chunky - comfortable and practical but also look good with a dress and thick tights. The width is good and as a consequence the boots are a bit big - I can wear with tights and socks and they still fit. In normal width I’m usually a 5.5 and ordered a 5 - they are still quite long and I could perhaps have gone for a 4.5. Would certainly recommend - haven’t worn in rain or snow yet so can’t comment on their weatherproof qualities.

These boots look and feel like they mean business. They’re good for clomping about on muddy walks. I wouldn’t expect them to survive a washout but that’s not what they’re designed for either. They look great with jeans, dresses, everything. The matte newbuck material means they still look good as they age and get a bit knocked about - think lived in but not scruffy. Also they’re really comfortable. I have wide feet and these are a great fit. They have brought compliments from pretty much everyone - and they’re all surprised (in a good way!) when I say how much they cost. If they were available in other colours (particularly dark brown or khaki) I’d snap them up right away.

I've been wanting a pair of biker boots for a while but have never been successful due to the need for a wide fit. I thought I would give these a go and they are absolutely perfect. I'm usually a size 7 but the 6.5 was ideal for me, and it is great to be able to get half sizes for a good fit. Really great to buy leather boots and their appearance is not shiny, which really suits the style. As well as a wide foot I do also have chunky ankles and calves and these are one of the first pairs of boots that I could zip up with ease. Think I might have to buy a second pair, as I don't want to be without these gorgeous and comfy boots!
