Are there age restrictions for travel insurance?Our age limits vary depending on the policy, and if you're over a certain age, there may be limits on how long you can travel for. Take a look at the details below to see what applies to you: Single Trip Policies are available for travellers aged 90 and under:
65 years and under: Up to 365 days of coverage
66 - 74 years: Up to 183 days of coverage
75 - 85 years: Up to 31 days of coverage
86 - 90 years: Up to 14 days of coverage
Annual Multi-Trip Policies are available for travellers aged 80 and under:
All travellers are covered for 32 days per trip
For travellers aged 65 and under: You can choose to begin your travel insurance policy up to 90 days from the day you purchase it
For travellers aged 66 to 80: You can choose to begin your policy up to 30 days from the day you purchase it
Optional Winter Sports cover added to any Single Trip or Annual Multi Trip policy is available only for travellers aged 64 and under.
Do you cover pre-existing conditions?We offer cover for a wide range of medical conditions, subject to an online screening. To check if we can cover your condition, simply answer a few quick questions when you get a quote online or complete the screening when purchasing a policy over the phone. We'll instantly let you know whether cover is available. If we're able to include your medical conditions, your policy price will reflect the additional cover required. Please note that pre-existing medical conditions are not covered unless:
You have declared all conditions,
We have confirmed acceptance in writing, and
You have paid any additional premium (if applicable).

When should you buy travel insurance?When to buy travel insurance can depend on the trip or trips you're taking and the kind of policy you choose to suit them. Single Trip Insurance: You're covered for cancellation from the moment you purchase the policy. Just make sure the policy start date matches your actual travel dates. Annual Multi-Trip Insurance: Cancellation cover begins on the start date of the policy, not the date you buy it. So, choose a start date that aligns with when you want your coverage to begin.
Do you need travel insurance for Europe?This depends on your travel insurance demands and needs. Does travel insurance cover pregnancy?Pregnancy is not considered a medical condition and does not require medical screening. You'll be covered as standard, provided that:
You are following all prescribed medication and medical advice
You comply with all airline or public transport provider regulation
You are not travelling against the advice of a general practitioner
You are not travelling with the intention of seeking medical treatment
This policy does not cover any costs of normal pregnancy or childbirth. Please refer to the policy wording for full details regarding pregnancy-related complications cover.
Do I need holiday insurance for UK?Yes, you are covered for travel within the UK however depending on your policy type there may be some conditions for this cover. Single Trip - No Requirements Annual Multi-Trip - Where you have selected an Annual Multi-trip policy your policy is valid for UK travel where you have at least 2 nights pre-booked accommodation or pre-booked transport at least 50 miles from your home
